Chapter 4 A Clue
In the morning, the atmosphere at CABA was silent. The sunshine was shining dimly through the plants around the pond where is not far from the faculty’s table area. The sounds of birds sing to the others, like the serenade of teenager in the clear winter night, make the atmosphere of this place happier. The breeze of winter blow to the faculty’s table area, touch Benz, Mod, Safe and Ton who were sit at there.
“Hmm…” Benz sighs, “Why this area is very silent?”
“Because of registration, they did not register this subject.” Ton answers while his head was drop on the table.
“Rang…Rang…” The bell from the church in CABA rang eight times mean that is the time they must go to study their classes. When they were standing up, Mod saw one boy wearing a white woolen coat. She waved her hand and greets him. That is Au, he was walking like he still sleeping that is his character.
“Do you have your class today?” Safe ask.
“Oh, yes. I have Sci. Man. class at eight o’clock today. What’s your class?”
“Hey, really? We are going to study Sci Man too. Let’s go to the class with us.” Benz said and pats Au’s shoulder before they walk to their class together, talking funny along the way. When they walk to the forth floor, Ton and Mod go to their classroom while Benz, Safe and Au move to their classroom too. When Safe open the door, he met someone.
“Hello! My dear friends” Bim greet to her friends. “Hey! Au, are you study in the class?”
“Yes, but, sorry, what is your name?”
“I’m Bim. Can you remember my name?” Bim said and act her face that she thinks she is very cute while Safe and Benz can’t suppress their laugh.
“Don’t standing talking like this. Let’s looking for our seats.” Safe said to change their interesting before he can’t suppress his laugh. That’s their lucky, there are three spare seat besides Bim. But while they are sitting, their teacher was come.
“Good morning class, my name is Lin Vhiang. I’m your teacher in this section…” he starts to introduce himself that is very boring for students, and his accent is very hard to listen, that make the students more boring. Au turns to talking with his friend who is sitting next to him and come from same faculty.
“Good morning. I’m Au. What’s your name?”
“Hello, I’m Phing. Nice to meet you. How do you do.” Phing is a girl who has her character like a boy. She had short blond hair.
“How do you do.”
“Au, are you enlisting during the first semester? I never met you before.”
“Yes, err… Teacher is teaching now, let’s lecture.”
While they are lecturing, Phing’s highlighting pen that uncover soiled to Au’s wrist.
“Oh, Au. I’m sorry.”
He turns his wrist to see. “It’s not matter, just a little.”
“What’s happen to you?” Safe asked.
“Just a highlighting pen soil my wrist. It’s not matter”
Safe look at Au’s wrist. Suddenly, the holy sign of the knight of the guardian was appearing and lighting. Safe raise his hand and close his eyes.
“Are you OK? Safe?” Au asked.
The light was disappearing. He saw Au was looking at him “No, nothing”

Chapter 3 A New Friend (Part 4)
“When I become to a knight of … Err, no matter, what will happen to me?”
“When you become to a knight of the guardians and get the holy sign of the knight of the guardians, everything stills no change like before. The way of your life is usual. No one can see this holy sign except the guardians only.”
Au stooped his head, thinking about his life in the future. His mind was in a whirl and confusing. In this time, he should be relaxed like another day. But this day, he met something which he never think or believe that it can be happen on this world. At last, he can decide.
“Well, if you guarantee. I’m OK. I ready to become to the knight of the guardians.”
“Because it is your purpose, I’m glad to do. Close your eyes for a moment, please.”
Au closes his eyes. Navaratanadara spell the magic to him. A breeze blow through the windows into the room surprisingly. The holy sign of the knight of the guardians appears and lightening on his wrists both left and right. When the angel was ending her spelling the magic, the light of the holy sign was disappear and the holy sign was appear on his wrists like tattoo. When he opened his eyes, he was frightened about these holy signs.
“You said that everything still did not change like before. What is this?” Au sends his wrists to her, “If my mother sees these, she will castigate me. She does not like any tattoo.”
“Please rest assured on me, don’t worried. Only the guardians, they can see this holy sign. For the others, they can’t see anything except your wrists.”
“Are you sure?” Au sarcastic.
“Sure. Of course” the angel answer with her laugh, “My obligation is ending now. May the highest heaven bless you, good luck the knight of the guardians.” That light soars out to the windows and disappears quickly. The atmosphere in that room was silent again. He looked at his alarm clock on the table. It was thirty minutes after midnight. He stretched himself on the softy bed and sleep with some feeling that hiding deeply in his mind.

This is the last part of this chapter. In this chapter, it had a Thai traditional ceremony in part 2 that I wrote to. That is Loy Krathong Day. Loy Krathong Day is the night of the twelfth full moon of the year. This tradition was beginning in Sukothai period, more than seven hundred years ago, in the King Ramkamhaeng, the Great era. There was a lady name ‘Thao Sri Chululak”, a mistress of the king, was invent a Krathong (a vessel made of banana leaves stitched into shape by bamboo skewers, widely used as a receptacle for flowers) and decorate with many kinds of flowers. She flood it in the river to apologize Khong Kha Devas (the goddess of river) that she and everyone use river to drink, wash, bath etc. This tradition is still now in the waxing night of the twelfth month of lunar calendar.

“Don’t afraid me, the knight of the guardians”
Au surprised that he heard someone’s voice in his room with the strange light. His sight looked around his room apprehensively. His hand still rose to protect his eyes. “Who’s that? Where are you?”
“Don’t ask for me, I’m here. I’m Navaratanadara, the angel of nine sacred gems.”
“Are you an angel?”
“Of course, you’re right.”
“If you are an angel, why you don’t show me in human body?”
“In fact, my body is same the human like you. Because the curse more than one hundred years ago, it cursed me can live in the world of books only. I can appear on human world when the night comes only. When the lunar light shined to my skin, my body will change to the light like this time.” She mentally calm describe to Au.
“And, when you will stop your shinning.”
She laughs lowly in her neck, “My body is not shinning, but my body is the shine.”
“Well, when you will come to your real body?”
“My body will return to my real body when my body doesn’t touch the lunar light. But in the clear waxing night in the winter like this night, I think it’s hard to appear in my real body that you want to see.”
“It’s not matter, but what is the name that you called me?”
“The knight of the guardians, you are only one of the comrades of the war of ten guardians. In fact, those guardians had a lot of comrades of the war, but no one stand besides them since the first war until the last Great War except you.”
“Is it World War?”
“No, that war is greater than any wars that happen on this human world. But all of the evidences and the records of that war were lost. Nothing remains till nowadays. It was happen but like never happen. It lost from human history perfectly.”
“Well, how do you come here?”
“Because the destiny leads me to you and my obligation is leading all of the guardians and their comrades of the war to their mission from the divine command prescription of the highest heaven and help them when they have some problems. And you, you are the last person that I found for my mission. The time is passing to you, I will give the holy sign of the knight of the guardian to you.”
“Hey! Wait! Do you mean that you will force me to be a knight?”
“Sooner or later, you cannot avoid from your destiny. Please rest assure on me. I’m leading the truth from the highest heaven to you. Everything I said is true.”
“When I become to a knight of … Err, no matter, what will happen to me?”

“Hmm… This poem is very nice. Who wrote it?”
“T…Ton, yes. Ton. Look! That is his hand writing.” Bim said hurrily, her face look afraid. She point to Ton who did not ready for her fib.
“Err… Oh ! yes. It’s mines, what’s wrong?”
“No, I think it’s very nice that why I ask you. Hmm… What does it mean?”
“I can’t tell you. This poem I spend a lot of time to write it. Why I answer you easily?”
Au said nothing, just only “Hmm…” in his neck and nod his head like agree with Ton. His left hand still held that paper and his right hand rose to close his mouth like he was thinking seriously. His sight looked at those words while the other sights look at him. He breathed deeply, lay that paper on the table, and look at his wrist watch for the time.
“So, I go to study now, I have my class. See you next time, Bye.”
Every sight look at Au while he was walking out from the faculty’s table area and breathe deeply all. Au turn back to see them but they smile at him until he’s gone. They were still talking for a minute and move to their homes.
The moon light of waxing moon still shine through the windows that the curtains was open for the light. Although that day was not a full moon day, Loy Krathong day is coming in a few days had power to shine more than normal. The light shine on the table which near windows in Au’s bedroom. The atmosphere in this bedroom was silent until you heard the sound of the hand of timepieces that working for their obligation did not stop. The two hands near to close at the position of the highest number on the face of a clock.
“Rang…rang…rang…” The sound of the golden bell of the church where near Au’s house loud twelve times. It was a signal that the new day is coming while the most of lives in this world were sleeping. The lunar light of waxing moon brighter than the star light that it can erase them, but the moon light cannot block a view of a comet that ran to the windows of Au’s bedroom quickly. That light through the window by did not appear any clues on the windows. It is bright until the owner of the room startled wake up quickly. His eyes try to see the strange thing and the changing in his room, but the light was brighter than he can see. His eyes were dim for a moment. He raised his hand to block that light.
“Don’t afraid me, the knight of the guardians.”

Chapter 3 A New Friend
Chapter 3 – A New Friend
Few day later, they were still aim to reveal that enigma by spend their spare time that they had a few each day both stay at home and sit at the faculty’s table, but they cannot reveal that enigma. Ten students who were discussing was an image that familiar for everyone who came to the side of the library of CABA. Their countenance was very serious more than they cannot read books enough for final exams, moreover, their score in last semester which was the first semester at CABA did not show to them. These are factors that cause them serious until they cannot notice a small boy who walk to faculty’s area, looking dismayed with the place like a losing way boy in the place that he was come for first time. And that, Que raises his head and greet him.
“Good morning! Au.”
That boy turning around suddenly, turn left and right, seeking for someone who greets him. His sight was sudden stop at Que who wave his hand and nine couple of eyes that focus on him. He walked to Que.
“Good morning, err…”
“Do you remember me? I was met you at the exam room of Law of Persons.”
Au close his eyes, think backward to the situation in that day, before came in the exam room. “Oh! Yes, I can remember. Is it you that greet me in that time,” Que nod his head, “but, err…, what is your name?”
“I’m Que, can you remember?” Au scratched his head. “Que? Oh! Yes, how about the other? What are their names?” Que start to introduce his friend in his group to Au one by one. During that time, his sight was focused at the table and he found a small piece of paper which had a text. Sure, that text is an enigma that Safe suggested to copy from the golden scroll for keep that strange situation secret. For that golden scroll, everyone in this group agree that Benz should keep it with himself because he was got this scroll from Navaratanadara. Au asked that what this text is.
“It’s just only a normal piece of paper.” Safe answer with normal tone of voice and smile to him, but deep inside his mind, he was excite and scare and praying that ‘Don’t pick it up’
It was look like Au can know what Safe thinking is or other reason no one know. “So, can I read it?” He picks that paper quickly while Champ and Kyo cannot keep that paper. He looked at that paper clearly, thinking every word. Everyone look alarmed and worried about their secret will be shown soon.

Hm… this is a very long chapter. Sure, this chapter is longer than chapter 2 too. Because I didn’t finish write this chapter in Thai, this part of this chapter is too short. Last week I had a lot of activity conferences, so I had a few spare time (after I spend for reveal the enigma) to write this chapter. Open Writer’s Heart 1
This is the first time that I, in the name of writer, can talk to you, who are very kindness to visit my blog. Normally, you may think that I will mutter something to you that very bored. I just want to tell something about this story like behind the scene in the movies. I plan that every two or three chapters, I will post “Open writer’s heart” to talk to you.
Before I came to study at Assumption University, I was a writer in the journal club at Assumption College Sumutprakarn. Each school’s journal must have my article at least two articles. For the first article, it was about an important person in European history, as Marie Antoinette, Queen Mary of Scotland, etc. The second was about the problem in the society as the problem that Thai teenager using wrong Thai language. So, this is the first novel that I never write before.
Before I wrote this story, I had no idea to write anything because I felt very tired from the last semester. There was the first semester in ABAC, where was very far from my house in Samutprakarn province. I spend two hours to go to the university everyday while I spend only five minutes to go to my school when I was study at there. Sometimes, on a van or a bus during my journey to ABAC, I wrote the poem during that time and gave it to my friends to read. Most of them like my poem very much. When the classes were commencing in the second semester, I think that there was the time to write the story about my friends in my group. Although we were known only one semester, we were very intimate too. And when I asked them to write this story, they agree with me too. So, I started to write this story.
The first chapter of this story was written on Wednesday 1st November 2006, after the classes commence day. In that time, my friends look very excites to know that I write a novel about our group. They said I must publish this story to them when we graduate. The first chapter was finished on Wednesday 8th November 2006 in Thai version because every chapter I will write in Thai version and I will translate to English version after. I wrote the second chapter after I finish the first chapter about one week. This chapter was very hard because there was the beginning of the whole story. I spend about four weeks to write this chapter because I was a stand cheering in AU Games. The seniors of my faculty rehearse ours until evening everyday that I had not many time to write the story. So, the second chapter spends much time to write it and translate too. This chapter had a lot of description parts, the shape of Navaratanadara, the appearance of her, the scroll, etc. That you can see from the story. It was very hard to translate this chapter from Thai version to English version because in Thai version, I can describe every thing that I want to describe but for English version, I know only a few English idioms and conjunction. Sometimes, when you read this story, you maybe cannot understand what I describe to you of you feel it strange. I must apologize for my wrong at here.
From the first chapter, you may see the name of the academy is CABA, the Constitutional Angel’s Blessing Academy. My friends always ask me why I choose this name? The reason is CABA is the reverse word of ABAC, can you see? CABA and ABAC. After I chose the short name of the place that I use in this story, I find the meaning of each letter from my dictionary and I chose these words to be a place in my story. The scenes in this story, most of them I refer from ABAC that you can see the faculty of law’s tables was beside the library both ABAC and CABA too.
All of character in this story they are real person in our world except Navaratanadara whom I imagined from many of Thai poem. The main characters in this story are eleven persons. Bas, Benz, Bim, Champ, Kit, Kyo, Mod, Que, Safe, Ton (me) and another one will appear in chapter three, please waiting, I am writing that chapter now. (maybe after mid-term examination, it will finished) There are law students at ABAC like me. In the future, my friends and seniors whom I intimated with them or teachers will appear in this story too. Each character has their characteristic, but some of them may not clear in the first and the second chapters. It will clearer in the next chapters.
There are a lot of poem in this story. All of them I write it by myself did not copy from anywhere. Sure, I write it in Thai poem and translate it after that. I know a little about English poem that the last word of each line sounds same the last word of the next line. I feel very tired to translate them because some Thai words had their meaning very closed but for English, they use the same word. Some enigma use Thai vocabulary and meaning to give more detail. In English version, I change something to make readers easy to understand. I spend my time on journey to ABAC to write these poems in this story, some of these spend a few minute but some of these spend two or three days. You cam see a lot of poem in this story until this story will be end.

This is the first time that I, in the name of writer, can talk to you, who are very kindness to visit my blog. Normally, you may think that I will mutter something to you that very bored. I just want to tell something about this story like behind the scene in the movies. I plan that every two or three chapters, I will post “Open writer’s heart” to talk to you.
Before I came to study at Assumption University, I was a writer in the journal club at Assumption College Sumutprakarn. Each school’s journal must have my article at least two articles. For the first article, it was about an important person in European history, as Marie Antoinette, Queen Mary of Scotland, etc. The second was about the problem in the society as the problem that Thai teenager using wrong Thai language. So, this is the first novel that I never write before.
Before I wrote this story, I had no idea to write anything because I felt very tired from the last semester. There was the first semester in ABAC, where was very far from my house in Samutprakarn province. I spend two hours to go to the university everyday while I spend only five minutes to go to my school when I was study at there. Sometimes, on a van or a bus during my journey to ABAC, I wrote the poem during that time and gave it to my friends to read. Most of them like my poem very much. When the classes were commencing in the second semester, I think that there was the time to write the story about my friends in my group. Although we were known only one semester, we were very intimate too. And when I asked them to write this story, they agree with me too. So, I started to write this story.
The first chapter of this story was written on Wednesday 1st November 2006, after the classes commence day. In that time, my friends look very excites to know that I write a novel about our group. They said I must publish this story to them when we graduate. The first chapter was finished on Wednesday 8th November 2006 in Thai version because every chapter I will write in Thai version and I will translate to English version after. I wrote the second chapter after I finish the first chapter about one week. This chapter was very hard because there was the beginning of the whole story. I spend about four weeks to write this chapter because I was a stand cheering in AU Games. The seniors of my faculty rehearse ours until evening everyday that I had not many time to write the story. So, the second chapter spends much time to write it and translate too. This chapter had a lot of description parts, the shape of Navaratanadara, the appearance of her, the scroll, etc. That you can see from the story. It was very hard to translate this chapter from Thai version to English version because in Thai version, I can describe every thing that I want to describe but for English version, I know only a few English idioms and conjunction. Sometimes, when you read this story, you maybe cannot understand what I describe to you of you feel it strange. I must apologize for my wrong at here.
From the first chapter, you may see the name of the academy is CABA, the Constitutional Angel’s Blessing Academy. My friends always ask me why I choose this name? The reason is CABA is the reverse word of ABAC, can you see? CABA and ABAC. After I chose the short name of the place that I use in this story, I find the meaning of each letter from my dictionary and I chose these words to be a place in my story. The scenes in this story, most of them I refer from ABAC that you can see the faculty of law’s tables was beside the library both ABAC and CABA too.
All of character in this story they are real person in our world except Navaratanadara whom I imagined from many of Thai poem. The main characters in this story are eleven persons. Bas, Benz, Bim, Champ, Kit, Kyo, Mod, Que, Safe, Ton (me) and another one will appear in chapter three, please waiting, I am writing that chapter now. (maybe after mid-term examination, it will finished) There are law students at ABAC like me. In the future, my friends and seniors whom I intimated with them or teachers will appear in this story too. Each character has their characteristic, but some of them may not clear in the first and the second chapters. It will clearer in the next chapters.
There are a lot of poem in this story. All of them I write it by myself did not copy from anywhere. Sure, I write it in Thai poem and translate it after that. I know a little about English poem that the last word of each line sounds same the last word of the next line. I feel very tired to translate them because some Thai words had their meaning very closed but for English, they use the same word. Some enigma use Thai vocabulary and meaning to give more detail. In English version, I change something to make readers easy to understand. I spend my time on journey to ABAC to write these poems in this story, some of these spend a few minute but some of these spend two or three days. You cam see a lot of poem in this story until this story will be end.

Chapter 2 – Nine Sacred Gems (Part 2)
Everyone wake up again in the unknown place, but it was not the uninhabited city where Benz, Que and Ton came. They were standing on softy cloud that wide till out of sight like the sea of cotton wool. They were looking at point that the sea of cloud met blue sky.
“I’m waiting for you,” A softy smooth sound loud. When they turn back, they met a lady standing in front of them. She was Navaratanadara. Her smiles still sweet that can melt eight hearts of the boys who were standing there. “This meeting shows that you your opportunity which want me to help you. What is that?”
“Do you know we will come back?”
“I know, I know. The destiny leads you to me.”
“Destiny? Oh! Yes. Last time you said to me that my friends are the guardians like me. So, I want to prove that it is real or not.”
“I can’t keep the truth to secret, or not, it’s mean I refrain my obligation that keep the truth to you. Every words that I said to you is true, it can’t be wrong.”
“Well, is it true or false?” Kyo ask Que with his confusion in Navaratanadara’s speech. Que tilt his head, his eyes were focusing on her. “So, you will give the holy sign to them like me?” she didn’t answer, but she tilt her head instead. Safe ask her to give him the holy sign because everyone seem ready to be the guardians, except Mod and Bim who were look hesitate.
“Er…, dear friends. Are you sure to be the guardian?”
“Yes, yes. Are you sure?”
“We haven’t any chance, Mod, Bim. Our friends are getting problems. If we are not help them, who can help them? Although it will be hard or danger, we must help them because we are friends.” Mod and Bim surprise in Safe’s word because it seems that a person who spoke those speech was not Safe, it’s like the other said, but they understand in the reason of everyone. So, Mod and Bim agree with them.
“Because of your wish, I glad to do.” Navaratanadara touch on their forehead softy and spell the magic formula to them. The holy sign appear on their forehead and decrease quickly. “Now, you can occupy the sacred gems. If you get any problem, please open this book. It will lead you to me. I suggest you something that not only everything in this world had something specific matched to them, nine sacred gems stay in the places that match with them also. If you haven’t any errand, my obligation is ending now. May the highest heaven bless you, the guardians”
Their bodies soar up higher and higher until out of sight. They wake up again in the library that they were stay before. Benz was still holding the golden scroll. When everyone sees that scroll, they realize that their obligation is beginning.
“Well, what should we do with this scroll?” Bas ask while he was looking at the scroll.
“I think we should open it.” Kyo present his thinking.
“I…Is it good?”
“If you do not open it, how do we know what are there inside?” Although most of them are waver, from Champ’s speech made them want to know more till their anxiety and their hesitation are lose. They choose to unfurl that scroll.
Benz pulls red ribbon that tie on the golden scroll slowly until the scroll was slip off from the tie that binds for many centuries. Although the outer surface of that scroll was coat with gold which was hammered until it was very thin and the highest technology machine in the present time cannot do it, when they slip off the scroll, they found that is an old papyrus paper inside. The perimeter of the scroll was dark brown because of the time. But the most surprise thing is on the scroll, there is nothing on the scroll!
“Hey!” Safe exclaim “Why this scroll is blank?”
“No, no. May be it has something hiding in it!” but when Kit turn it back, there was nothing change.
Suddenly, the light was shining from the scroll. Kit keeps it on the table quickly. The sounds of musical instruments play joined with the voice that singing the song both men and women, like the songs that sing in the church when celebrated the holy ceremony to praise everyone who live in the highest heaven. Although that song was melodious more than the songs they were listen, the rhythm and tone of voice were conceal with sadness, missing and seeking the lovers deeply. They were silent standing, listen that mysterious sound like they were a victim of magic. Every eye was focus on the scroll without any movement like the time on the world was stop for a time. And that, the thing that made everyone who standing around the scroll shock was appear. The English alphabets were soaring out from the scroll to the air by the aid of magic and mixed up in the air, over head level. Those alphabets arrange their place to the words, sparkling to the third floor of the library, showing an enigma that Navaratanadara was remark to them. An enigma of the place of the first gem!
“Building at place where King’s purpose is,
To prevent everyone from danger and disease,
Once was dead, but now reborn again,
At the place of worship nears an elephant.”
That enigma show on for a time before the last paragraph was disintegrated to the golden dust until the other paragraphs were disintegrated too. The golden dust was scatter to the scroll like the golden rain was rained to the world, show the enigma on that scroll in the same time that the song which singing was end. The silence of library was come again.
Everyone just amaze with everything that they met and didn’t think that the nine sacred gems were wake up from sleeping for long time and knowing the appearance of the first scroll!

This is the end of chapter 2. It's just only chapter 2! Because I write this novel at first in Thai and translate to English, it spend so long time. Now, I'm writing chapter 3 in Thai and I think it will finish in this week. For English version, may be I will post on next weekend (if it possible)
